Solution Manager - Energy Storage Systems (ESS), Finland

BOS Power is expanding its Energy Storage business across the Nordics. To strengthen our capability in developing high-quality and competitive turnkey BESS solutions, we are hiring a Solution Manager for our Vantaa office in Finland, with Stockholm as an alternative location.

The role focuses on designing, optimising and defining complete ESS solutions that meet customer requirements, regulatory conditions and technical feasibility. You play a central role in the early phase of projects, ensuring that proposed solutions are robust, well-structured and ready for execution. The position includes hybrid work flexibility.

Team Environment

You become part of the Nordic Solution Management team, working closely with colleagues across Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. The team collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Project Execution to secure the technical quality of our ESS proposals.

As Solution Manager you are responsible for the overall technical definition of the ESS system. You ensure that all solution elements are aligned, correctly scoped and technically feasible before customer submission and project handover. You support Sales in customer discussions, help shape the technical concept and act as a quality assurer for the full ESS solution.

Responsibilities

• Define and design complete ESS solutions, including system layout, sizing, functionality and compliance.

• Lead technical discussions with customers and suppliers in early project phases.

• Prepare technical documentation for proposals and tenders.

• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate customer requirements, ensuring alignment with BOS Power standards.

• Coordinate internal inputs from Engineering, R&D, Procurement and subcontractors.

• Ensure solutions comply with grid codes, safety requirements and local regulations.

• Support Sales with technical insights, customer presentations and solution clarifications.

• Participate in site visits and customer meetings when required.

• Ensure the complete solution is understood, documented and ready for internal handover to execution teams.

• Contribute to improving tools, methods and templates within the Solution Management team.

Qualifications

• Experience in solution engineering, technical presales or system design within ESS, power systems, energy technology or related fields.

• Good understanding of electrical power systems, grid connection requirements and energy storage technologies.

• Ability to work across multiple internal functions and translate requirements into complete system solutions.

• Experience with customer-facing technical discussions is an advantage.

• Structured, analytical and able to balance technical and commercial priorities.

• Fluent in English; Finnish, Swedish or another Nordic language is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, energy systems or similar is preferred.

• Master’s degrees are welcome but not required.
